EDWARD TARALA It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edward on February 23, 2011 at the Health Sciences Centre. He was predeceased by his parents John and Catherine, brothers John and Bill and sisters Leah, Emily, Rose and Joyce. Edward is survived by his loving wife Gladys, brother Don (Carol); sisters Mary, Violet, Betty (Warren) and Audrey (Vic); also many wonderful nephews and nieces. Edward was born December 1, 1924 in Hague, Saskatchewan. He worked on the family farm until serving in the armed services for two years during the Second World War. He then moved to Winnipeg and worked 27 years with T. Eaton Co. Ltd. and then with the Provincial Government until he retired. He married Gladys Penhall on August 30, 1952 and they spent many wonderful years together. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was active in the United Church. He enjoyed his coffee breaks with his friends and enjoyed travelling and crossword puzzles. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Road United Church, 613 St. Mary's Rd., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
