HENRY FUNK November 28, 1949 February 20, 2011 With heavy hearts we said good bye to our beloved husband, father and grandfather. After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, he peacefully passed away with his loving wife and children by his side. Henry worked many years in his own dry wall business taking him to a number of countries. He enjoyed fishing with his little ray of sunshine Skylar, his granddaughter, out at Twin Beaches, where he enjoyed his summers. Henry could tell a great joke and never the same joke twice. He loved to read and play online poker. He is survived by his wife Brenda; son Michael; daughters Meghan and Kathleen Klohn (Al); grandchildren Skylar, Travis and Nicole; brothers Peter (Michelle Montsion), Gary and Hans; sisters Elfrieda Lake (Jack), Annamarie Harbun (Peter); sister-in-law Bonnie Sicotte and many loved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society and CancerCare Manitoba. Many thanks to Dr. Demsas and the wonderful nursing staff at the Selkirk General Hospital, special thanks to my friends Karen Warcimaga and Karen Leitch for all their support. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., in the North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch St., Winnipeg, MB, with Rev. M. Albert Durksen officiating.
