ERNEST (CAS) ROMAS With great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of Ernie on February 26, 2011 at his home at the age of 76 years. Left to cherish Ernie's memory are his sons Shawn (Jill), Sheldon, Brett (Brenda), Burke (Susanne); grandchildren Jordan, Nathan, Hunter and Allison; as well as brothers; sister; in-laws; nieces; nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Ramona; parents Henry and Nettie; brothers Nick and Barry; and sister Jean. Dad worked for Metropolitain/Canwest Securities, and CNR Transcona/Symington for 42 years. He enjoyed curling at the Heather CC, gardening, baking and spending time with his grandchildren. On Thursday, March 3, 2011 Ernie's Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Road. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ernie's name to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
