GORDON LEBREDT Gordon Lebredt, artist, writer, theorist, scholar, designer and motorcycle mechanic, passed away at his Toronto home on Saturday, February 26, 2011 with his soulmate Lin Gibson, his beloved daughter Simone, and his crazy, little dog Lola, by his side. Predeceased by his parents David and Hilda Lebredt and his sister Cathy Woods and survived by his brother Michael Lebredt and niece April Woods. Gordon was a brilliant, gentle and enlightened soul and there are no words to express the sorrow we feel at his passing. A celebration of his remarkable life and the launch of his new book, Gordon Lebredt: Nonworks 1975 - 2008, will be held Saturday, April 2 at Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art, 460 Portage Avenue at 4:00 p.m.

He was my brother Mark's best friend in Winnipeg during their formative years. Both born in 1948, raced motorcycles, lived art and a bit of madness that is poetry, and died too young. - Posted by: Gillian Higenbottam (Acquaintance) on: Apr 17, 2011
