ERNEST J. GARDNER June 21, 1931 - March 3, 2011 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Ernest Ernie J. Gardner on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at St. Boniface Hospital. Ernie was predeceased by his wife Helena in 1985; his father Norman, his mother Elsie and his sister Lillian and leaves to mourn his passing his sons: James, Joseph (Roberta), John (finance Angelina) and Trevor (Trina) as well as eight grandchildren: Tyler, Victoria, William, Matthew, Laura, Stephanie, Josh and Kelsy. Ernie was a proud member of the Local 254 Pipefitters and Steamfitters Union and a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion. The family wishes to express their thanks to the doctors and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Dad. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. In keeping with Ernie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.
