ELAINE (NORA) DODDS November 17, 1936 March 3, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine Dodds announces her passing. Elaine passed away on March 3, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. Elaine was born in Winnipeg, moved to Edmonton and worked for the Edmonton Public School Board until she retired. Moving to Calgary to be closer to grandchildren was next. She had spent the last years caring for her beloved Brian, husband for over 55 years. She loved best of all spending time with family and friends, cooking, and her beautiful garden. She enjoyed a great many friendships throughout her life and fond memories will be a comfort to all that know her. Elaine is survived by her husband Brian (Kenneth); two children Bradley of Vancouver, Linda (Jim) of Calgary; three grandchildren Sara, Andrew and Holly. We would like to thank the Tom Baker Cancer Center and all the staff, Alberta Health Services, Palliative Care Team and the Southwood Hospice. Funeral services will be held at EVAN J. STRONG FUNERAL SERVICES (5502-2nd Street SW, Calgary, Alberta) on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Nora's family at www.evanjstrong.com.
