Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMELANIE ALANA CHRISTINE WATT It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Melanie Alana Christine Watt. She was born February 20, 1991 and was taken away from a sudden asthma attack on March 3, 2011, 11 days after her 20th birthday. Melanie was an overly caring, big hearted girl who would always put others before herself. She loved her family and friends immensely and would do anything for anyone in need. She had the heart and soul of an angel and will be forever loved and missed. Melanie is survived by her mother Lorna, father Derek, and brothers Kristopher and Harley. Grandparents Mervin and Ann Muir, uncles and aunties Reg and Linda Watt, Wayne and Cathy Muir, Garry and Melody Muir, Don and Nancy Watt, Glen and Wendy Muir, Marnie and Andrew Rilling. As well as dozens of loving cousins. Melanie's memory will be celebrated Tuesday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Phillip's Anglican Church. All are welcome to come. Dress casual and or in colours as she would've wanted it that way. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the Winnipeg Police Child Abuse Unit.

Melanie, it is now 5 days after what would have been your 22nd birthday, and only 6 days away from the time you were taken from us. It is unbelievable that it will be the 2nd year that you have been gone. Everyday I still wonder how you are not here still and why you were chosen to leave us. You were my best friend and my sister. Going from being able to see you when ever I wanted to now only being able to see you in my dreams hurts me. I know your still here looking out for me and everyone else who loves you emencly. Melanie you were a beautiful girl inside and out. You put everyone ahead of the only one who truely mattered.… you! You were the most unselfish loving friend that anyone could have asked for and I am more than glad to share with everyone what a fantastic, beautiful, strong, courageous women you are. I love you watermelon and will never ever forget you. I cannot wait until we are reunited and get to have out little chats again. Keep shining beautiful and rest easy my girl.
