THERESE ALICE MARIE GREENHALGH (nee ROULEAU) October 16, 1919 March 3, 2011 It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce Mom's passing at St. Boniface Hospital, with her loving family at her side. Therese is survived by her children Rob (Mary), Ken (Marg), Cliff (Rose), Lill, Cheryl (Dino); sister Georgette; brothers Georges and Christophe; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Herbert T. Greenhalgh, son Allan, parents Arthur and Delphine Rouleau, sisters Marguerite, Jeanne and Geraldine. Therese was educated and worked in Quebec until after the war when she married Bert, and he swept them to Winnipeg to begin a life together. Mom was very proud of her family, and had lived happily in St. Vital for the last 47 years. Always independent, she was proud of earning a driver's license at the age of 73. Therese was a faithful and active member of the Catholic parishes of St. Emile, Christ the King and St. Eugene, was a lifetime member of the Legion of Mary, volunteered in many church functions and supported many charities. Her family and church were her life and above all lived a life of faith, generosity and goodwill. The family thanks the dedicated caregivers who rendered care and compassion, in particular the dedicated staff at St. Boniface Hospital, and family physician Dr. Doris Kyermateng. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at St. Emile Catholic Church, 556 St. Annes Rd. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Emile Catholic Church or the Children's Hospital Foundation. She is deeply loved and will be sadly missed.
