Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH AMELIA (GOULD) FOX It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Ruth - wife, mother, grandmother, Amma, sister and aunt on March 6, 2011 in Carman, Manitoba. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Arthur, her five children Sharron, Roslyn Binda (Wayne), Karla (Gerald), Bradley, and Mark (Jan), her seven grandchildren Dagan, Kalyn (Eric), Logan (Jen), Kayli (Brent), Jonathan, David (Lisa), Eden (Clayton) and her great-grandchildren Trent and Anara. She is also survived by her siblings Irene Coghill (Jack), Lois Andree (Len), David Bradley (Jean) and Maurice Bradley (Cheryl), and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Ruth will also be missed by Arthur's children Debra (Dave) and Jeff (Nicole) and his grandchildren Meghan, Daniel, Joel and Jasmine. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Sigrun and Wilfred Bradley and her niece Vivian Andree. Ruth was born December 29, 1927 in Lundar, Manitoba. She lived her early years on the farm outside Lundar and moved with the family to West Kildonan in her teens. She attended Centennial School and graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate in 1945. She met Frank Gould at school and later they married and built their dream home on Hoddinott Road in East St. Paul. Mom worked very hard, gardening, canning, baking and sewing while raising five children. Then for adventure she moved with the family to Kingston, Jamaica. They had three memorable years there, traveling throughout the country and visiting every beach and historical site. Mom worked a variety of jobs to provide for her children. She worked as a bank teller, an accountant at The Bay, manager of the United Cigar Store in the Winnipeg Inn and lastly at Manitoba Home Care. She absolutely loved interacting with all the different people and was very well liked and respected. Ruth loved to dance and she loved the farm life so she was thrilled to meet a dancing farmer. She married Arthur in 1995 and lived happily with him in Starbuck, Manitoba for over 15 years. Ruth enjoyed getting to know the Fox family and helping out on the farm in any way she could. She especially cherished looking after her dear Arthur. Thank you to the staff at Carman Hospital for their care, concern and kindness. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. There will be a private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. Mom, you were a gentle, caring, honest, hard working, amazing lady of class. You taught us well and you will live on in your children, your grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thank you for sharing the love of your Icelandic and British heritage with us. Every occasion was celebrated and made extra special by your little touches. We'll love you forever and will think of you often. So, for now ... until we Tea Off again! XXXXXOOOOOTTTTT
