John is survived by his sons, Dustin (Laura), Ryan (Krista), Jody, Richard; and his granddaughter Karmyn. John is also survived by three brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. John was born in Elm Creek, MB, where he grew up on his family farm. John was employed by Kawneer for many years, and well known throughout the Construction industry. John was a devoted father who enjoyed his time at the lake with his family. He also enjoyed taking his sons to their various sporting events. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favourite charity. I am so very sad to hear about John's passing. I got to know John through our boys playing hockey together. John always met me with a smile and had such a good nature about him! I did not know John that well but he always treated me so well and was a real gentelman and always so freindly. I know he will be missed by his family and my thoughts will be with you.
