WINNIFRED HATTIE HURD (nee MACVICAR) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winnifred Hattie Hurd (nee MacVicar) of Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 9, 2011, at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Winnie was predeceased by her loving husband Lyle on April 22, 1995. Winnie leaves to mourn her son Lyle, daughter Catherine and husband Tom Boz , son John and wife Roxanne, son Glenn and partner Gunter, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Winnie was a faithful, long term employee of Eaton's in Winnipeg. Following their closure, Winnie worked at the Hudson's Bay Company until her retirement in 2006. For many years Winnie enjoyed an active life as a volunteer with the Manitoba Epilepsy Association, donating not only her time but her beautiful knitted goods that she took so much pride in creating. Her greatest love was her family and she will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral service to be held Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., Winnipeg. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery, Dugald Road at the East perimeter highway for those who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Manitoba Lung Association would be appreciated. Well done Good and Faithful Servant Mathew 25:23
