ROSE PASTUCK Peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2011 Rose Pastuck passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg. Survived by her husband Harry Pastuck (resident of the Holy Family Nursing Home); two sons Norman and wife Jackie, Richard and wife Karen; grandchildren: Tracey (Darrell) Hoborough and their daughters Madison and Taylor Hoborough; Michael Pastuck and partner Michelle; Christopher (Catherine) Pastuck. There are also many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Anna Malinowski (mother), Nicholas Malinowski (father), brother David (infant), Pauline Zinck (sister), Helen Janciw (sister), Doris Lazarenko (sister), Mary Chyzy (sister), Elsie Gaida (sister). Rose was born August 4, 1922 in the town of Rembrandt, Manitoba. She moved to Winnipeg in the early 1940s where she met and married Harry Pastuck in 1944. Mom was a homemaker who enjoyed shopping. She loved to putter in her garden and was an avid animal lover who rescued many strays. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Rembrandt Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rev. Father Harry Chuckry will officiate. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers are nephews Harry Janciw, Nick Janciw, Larry Smikles, Wayne Smikles, Roman Lazarenko and Cornie Reimer. We would like to thank the nurses at the Holy Family Residence on the 4th floor who took very good care of her in her latter years. Also a big thank-you to Emily and Corney Reimer who visited her and involved her in the social activities at the Holy Family Residence. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Seven Oaks Hospital who were involved in the final days of her care. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
