DANIEL GEORGE MORRISON December 14, 1961 - March 9, 2011 On Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Selkirk General Hospital, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends, Dan Morrison, aged 49 years, beloved husband of Tanis passed away. Dan is survived by his loving wife Tanis; sons Vance, Derek (Kristene); he also leaves to mourn his brothers Weldon (Deborah), Jim and Mike (Myrna); niece Jessica; nephew Kyle and many special friends. Dan was born on December 14, 1961 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, moved to Red Deer, Alberta following his graduation to study carpentry. During a business trip to Winnipeg, Manitoba Dan met the love of his life Tanis and settled in Selkirk, Manitoba where he started a successful carpentry business. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Dan's memory to the new Selkirk General Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011, in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, at 1:00 p.m. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
