PATRICIA ANN ARNOTT November 4, 1955 - March 6, 2011 Patricia Arnott peacefully passed at the Grace Hospital on March 6, 2011 at the tender age of 55. Pat / Mom will be remembered dearly by her husband of 35 years, Lyle and sons Rob and Adam, as well as brother John (Karen) and twin sister Pam (Mike), mother-in-law Betty and extended family. Pat was predeceased by her father Robert in 2009 and mother Grace in 2007. Pat was born in Winnipeg and raised in Saskatchewan. When Pat was a teenager, the family moved back to Winnipeg and she attended John Taylor High School, where she met Lyle. The two later married March 6, 1976 and decided to have kids ten years into marriage. One of Pat's favourite things was to spend time camping and they spent many a summer at Bird Lake or other favourite spots, which ultimately led to the purchase of their Macara Lake cottage in 2001. Pat, Lyle and the kids tried to go to the cabin every weekend. Favourite activities were boat rides, or just sitting outside and relaxing. Pat was a remarkable woman in many ways. She was always helping others rather than putting herself first. Pat fought mind over body since 2009 when she spent four months in the hospital and another two months in 2010. We are proud to call her our Wife, Mother, Sister, Friend and Angel, she will surely be missed by anyone who knew her. A private family gathering will be held at a later date (but not on a weekend, because lake people don't do things on weekends). Thanks to all the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care during her stay. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
