Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFERNAND AUGUSTE LAPEYRE It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Fernand Auguste Lapeyre on Friday, March 4, 2011 in Coquitlam, BC, at the age of 66 years. Fern leaves to cherish in his memory, his wife of 47 years, Dorine (nee Carrière); his son, Charles (Betty); his daughter, Collette Van Roon; and five grandsons, Kevin and Derek with their mother Armieda, Justin, Jaxon and Colton. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Alida Jolicoeur; his six sisters, Annette (Phillip) Meilleur, Irma (Elmer) Meilleur, Doreen (Claude) Adolphe, Ella (Nick) Kochenash, Rose Cosyns, Yvonne (Allan) Berthelette, and brother, André Jolicoeur; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Aimé (Margaret), René-deceased (Jeanette), Lucienne (Ken Tightmeyer) Houlind, George (Arlene), Raymond (Dianne), Jean (Mike) Chanowski, and Jeanette (Maurice) Schamp. He also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Auguste Lapeyre; son, Mark; stepfather, Alphonse Jolicoeur; mother-in-law, Marie-Anne (née Morin) and father-in-law, André. Fern was born on March 27, 1944 in St. Boniface, MB. He was an avid sports enthusiast, who took a special interest in Baseball and Soccer, as a fan and Coach. He loved living out on the West Coast, where he and Dorine settled more than 40 years ago. Among many other accomplishments, Fern completed his Theology degree in 1996. He had recently retired from work, at Cheetah Transport. A funeral celebration took place in Coquitlam, BC on Friday, March 11. Private memorial in Winnipeg to follow.
