DORIS ELIZABETH LINDSAY 1922 - 2011 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister on Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 88 years old. Left to forever cherish Doris' memory are sons, Ronald (Karen), John (Jacqui) and Brian (Nancy); grandchildren, Cheryl (Carlos), Michael (Wanda), Katie (Brent) and Matthew (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ashleigh, Karla Sofia, Norman, Calyn, Ryleigh and Lindsay; as well as brothers; sisters; nieces and nephews across Canada. She was predeceased by her husband Norman; mother Alice; father Thomas; brothers, George, Martin and Brian. Mom served overseas in the military during the Second World War and was extremely proud to be a war veteran. She was a lovely, devoted mother and we all share fond memories that we will cherish forever. There will be no service at this time. A memorial honouring Mom will take place on Mother's Day with interment to follow. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the nurses and all the staff on Tower 5 at the Deer Lodge Centre for the kind, compassionate care they gave to our mother. We know she was very happy and comfortable in her final months.
