Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE LOUTIT July 20, 1948 - March 10, 2011 Florence passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital with family at her side, at the age of 62 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Einar and Flora Nordal; brothers, John and Allan Nordal; and sister Margo Watson. She is survived by husband Stanley; sons, Glenn and Magnus; daughter Kristal; and grandchildren, Dixie, Darren, Andy, Alex, Macy and Dakota. Florence is also survived by brothers, Victor, Paul, Arthur and Kenneth Nordal; and sisters, Helga Lavallee, Kay Anderson and Bertha Allen. Florence was born in the Eriksdale Hospital on July 20, 1948. She attended school at Mary Hill and Lundar Collegiate. She graduated from Red River Community College in 1972 and began her career in nursing. Florence and Stanley were married in 1974 and settled in Clandeboye, MB where they raised their children. Many happy times were enjoyed with family gatherings at the creek and also at Christmas and New Year's Day celebrations. Florence was talented in many ways. She knit, crocheted and mastered leather work having beaded gaunklets, slippers and mukluks for the family. She was known for her sense of humour and one liners. She had a warm welcome for visitors and friends and will always be remembered for her care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Viewing for one hour prior to service. Cremation will follow. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
