ROSE OLIEN Rose Olien (Rosabelle Florence Carrey) died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Mississauga in the presence of family and supportive palliative care, one day short of her 93rd birthday. She died peacefully, with grace, a journey that was obvious and courageous as she moved on to a place of renewed awareness. Rose raised her family in Winnipeg with late husband Clifford. She retired to Sudbury with family of origin, and later to Mississauga near children and access to seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Rose lived with love, courage, independence, enthusiasm and much laughter. Family and friends will miss her warm smile and gentle presence. Contributions in her honour, with much appreciation, to local VON, Hospice or Palliative Care Facility. Details contact: tom.olien@rogers.com
