Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN RUTHERFORD Peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone, MB Norman Rutherford, dear brother of Anne Rutherford, passed away at the age of 87 years. Beside him were those who loved and cared for him and they will sincerely miss his happy disposition and humour. Norman was born at Shoal Lake, MB son of the late Thomas and Ruth Rutherford where his parents farmed and Norman grew to love animals and the farm way of life. They later moved to East St. Paul where the family made their home for 30 years. Norman moved to Portage la Prairie and for a brief time lived at the Manitoba Develop-mental Centre. For the next 18 years he was part of the Moffit family on the farm in the Belle Plain District. He was involved in the daily chores of a dairy and mixed farming operation which he felt right at home in. Norman again moved, this time to become part of the Moman family in Neepawa. Most recently Norman lived at Third Crossing Manor where he enjoyed the activities and the interaction and loving care of the staff. He loved country music and Wilf Carter was his hero. Norman could play the guitar and harmonica and he was famous for his yodeling ability. During the long days of summer, Norm could be found on his lawn swing watching the traffic and welcoming visitors. Predeceased by his parents, Norman is survived by his sister Anne Rutherford of Winnipeg. Norman's funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18 at 1:30 p.m. in the Kildonan Cemetery, 2373 Main Street at John Black Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. Arrangements are by: Ronald Moffit Memorial Services (204) 856-3487
