KATHERINE HOOGE Katherine, known as Kay passed away into the hands of her Lord on Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Winnipeg Convalescent Home. Kay was predeceased by her husband Herman Hooge, her parents Herman and Katherine Heide, brother Herman Heide, sisters Helen and Margaret, her brother-in-law Jack Dewson and sister-in-law Susanne Heide. Katherine leaves to mourn her brother Peter Heide of Winnipeg and John Heide (Jean) of Winnipeg, sisters Ann Dewson of Brighton, ON, Agnes Woznow (Percy) of Calgary, and several nieces and nephews. Katherine was born in the Stanley Municipality on July 23, 1920. Kay was a perfectionist in everything she did. Due to her Scoliosis she suffered great pain throughout her life. Funeral service for Katherine will be at Klassen Funeral Home on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3C 9C9, or a charity of your choice.
