ANTONIO GIAMMARIA March 7, 1935 - March 13, 2011 It is with great sadness that after a short battle with Cancer, we announce the peaceful passing of Tony on March 13, 2011 at the Riverview Health Centre, while surrounded by his wife and family. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Carmela of 48 years, daughter Grace (Ken), grandchildren Trishia, Christine, Anthony, brother Stefano (Zettina), sisters-in- law Maria (Lorenzo), Teresa (Giuseppe), brothers-in-law Tommaso (Anna), Paolo (Concetta), numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends in Canada and Italy. Tony was born and raised in Valenzano Italy. He moved with his wife to Winnipeg in 1967 and worked for many years at CP Rail. He retired in 1976. Tony was actively involved with the Church and his strong faith guided him through Life! Vigil prayers will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano officiating. Pallbearers are: Phil Parisi, Nick Parisi, Paolo Parisi, Tony Pancotto, Mike Episcopo and Gianni Lonigro. Entombment in Green Acres Cemetery, Holy Angel Mausoleum, No. 1 Hwy. East and Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB. Reception in the Holy Rosary Church Hall, following the Entombment.
