MARJORIE (JEAN) POTTER July 17, 1927 - March 13, 2011 Peacefully, with family by her side, Jean passed away following a short illness. She is survived by her blended family, Bob, Colleen, Marnie, Margaret (Bruce), Aynsley (Rich), Jan (Mick) and David (Lyn) and her grandchildren, Emily, Alexis, Sarah and Katelyn. Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Owen Watters and her second husband, Ross Potter. Jean held several office positions over her working career, at Hare, Gork and Watters, the University of Manitoba, the Winnipeg School Division and St. Andrew's. For many years she was involved in the Guiding movement. The role that best defined her was that of loving mother to her large family. Mom possessed an incredible memory and never missed a birthday or special event. She loved to entertain and so enjoyed her bridge games, the Bombers, activities at Lions Park Square, and her beloved St. Andrew's River Heights United Church where she was a member since childhood. Heartfelt thanks to Drs. Lee, Manji and Arora, to Jason, Nancy, Ahmad, and Kenny and all the amazing staff in the ICCS and on 2B at St. Boniface. Your caring for Mom is very much appreciated. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Andrew's River Heights United Church, 255 Oak St. with Rev. Karen Lumley officiating. Flowers gratefully declined.
