Date of Passing: Mar 14, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLEN VERNON ARMSTRONG I Had A Good Life Glen was born on October 18, 1930 in Carberry, MB. He passed away at home on March 14, 2011. He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife Adeline; his daughter Connie; papa's girl Madison; his brothers George (Loretta) of Calgary and Bob of Prince George. He was predeceased by his father Adam; his mother Magnahild; brother Ed and sister Dorothy. Glen grew up in St. James and had fond memories of his younger years, even though they were quite hard. He had his own business, Metro Tile and Carpet, and as he would say, he enjoyed every day that he worked. Glen was an avid Ten Pin bowler, race horse owner and enjoyed over 20 years as a member of Elmhurst Golf Club. Glen's happy place was always Las Vegas and we were lucky enough to have one last family trip there to celebrate his 80th birthday in October of last year. We would like to give special thanks to Tony and Kelly for helping us keep Uncle Glen comfortable at home as was his wish. Thanks to Mike and Irene, Rollie and Vicki, Bruce and Teresa for being there when we needed you. As per Glen's request, his remains have been entrusted to the University of Manitoba for teaching purposes. There will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Love like you've never been hurt before Sing like no one is listening Dance like no one is watching Live like heaven begins tomorrow. We love you and miss you honey. Rest in peace.
