IRENE PASTUZENKO (nee PROTEAU) 1933 - 2011 With sadness, the family announces Irene's sudden passing Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Vista Park Lodge. Irene will be greatly missed by Raymond, husband married 54 years, sons Wes (Terry) and Ron, brother Armand (Irene), sister Alice (Glen) and feline buddy Mikey. She was predeceased by sisters Lucille and Annette and brothers Eddie and Victor. Irene was born in St. Adolphe, MB. She worked with Raymond on their farm and had also been employed at Village Sportswear and the St. Adolphe Nursing Home. Irene will be remembered for her hospitality and many musical evenings she and Ray shared. Irene played piano and accompanied Ray's fiddle and was often joined by brother Vic, musical friends and family. In recent years, jam sessions in their city home are fondly remembered. The family wishes to thank Sharon Fischer for her support and help. Irene looked at life with humour and optimism. Her love and laughter will remain in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. 1 (Fermor) at Navin Road, 222-3241 on Saturday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at a future date.
