VERNA HOLOWICK January 24, 1923 - March 16, 2011 Peacefully at her residence in Concordia Place, Verna passed away with her family at her side at the age of 88 years. Verna was predeceased by her husband Nicholas, parents Michael and Martha Biletski and siblings Andrew, Mary, John, Anne and Fred. Mom will be sadly missed by her sons Robert (Debbie) and Erwin (Barb); grandchildren Melanie (Kevin), Amber (Rob), Michael, Amanda, Christine (Curtis), Blake (Janna), Frans and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Kennedy, Sydney, Courtney, Ashley, Hunter, Eleanor and Reese and brother Donald (Phyllis). Mom was born and raised on the shore of Lake Dauphin at Moose Bay, MB. As a young women she moved to Dauphin where she met and married Nicholas on May 28, 1949. This is where they raised their family and spent their lives. She took much pride in her vegetable and flower gardens, attending the Dauphin Ukrainian Festival, going for coffee and spending time with her family, who were her greatest joy. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Crescent, Oakbank, MB. Interment will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin. Special thanks to the staff of Concordia Place for the care and compassion shown to Verna and her family.
