LEON MARION 1920 2011 Peacefully with his loved ones by his side, Léon Marion, 90 years of age, passed away at the Taché Centre on March 16, 2011. Born August 16, 1920 in Saint-Elizabeth, Manitoba, only son of Alphonse Marion and Yvonne (Fillion). He was predeceased by his wife, Rita in 2007 with whom he shared his devotion to family, friends and community. He leaves to mourn his 14 children, Solange (Cyril Taylor), Agnès (Edmond Roch), Marie (André Dacquay), Roger (Dee), Yvonne (Carl Kakfa), Rolande (Albert Dupuis), Blanche (Raymond Touzin), René (Gisèle), Thérèse (Gilles Verrier), Joseph (Carole), Jean-Léon, Bernadette (Tim McArthur), Raymond and Alphonse. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews and nieces will also miss him. Dad was never afraid of hard work, always ready for new challenges. These principles and values he passed on to the next generation. The family would like to thank the staff of Taché Centre for the dedicated care they provided to Dad. Prayers will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Mass to celebrate his life will be held at La Cathédrale de Saint Boniface, 190 avenue de la Cathédrale, Saint-Boniface on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Reception to follow at Précieux-Sang Hall, 200 Kenny Street.
