Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE (RUTH) LAURIE Suddenly on Friday, March 11, 2011, with family by her side, Marjorie Ruth Laurie passed away. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Robert and Marjorie, by her brother Jim, and brothers-in-law Shaen Siddorn and Ed Polak. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Kathryn Polak and Mavis (Lloyd) McCauley; sister-in-law, Tania Laurie; her nieces: Gwen, Joanne, Carolanne (Jeff), Pat (Gord), Val (Rob), Colleen (Troy); nephew Garry (Deb); as well as her great-nieces: Kathleen, Jennifer, Kristin and Brittany; great-nephew Matthew; Aunt Edna, many cousins and friends. Ruth was born in Cloverdale and lived much of her life in Winnipeg. She influenced the lives of countless children during her 36 year career as a classroom teacher in and around Winnipeg. During her spare time she enjoyed a variety of cultural and outdoor pursuits. In keeping with Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life is planned for the summer. Hi there, i had found some stuff in my attic and just wondering if it has any connection with this lady? In the book it says Mavis Laurie and has a picture of 3 ladies 1 man and 1 dog.
