Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD WOLCH Harold Wolch passed away on March, 17, 2011 in Toronto, Ontario. Dad was predeceased by his wife Sadie (Isaacovitch); brothers Marvin and Lloyd; father Tom and mother Frederika Wolch. He is survived by his sisters Marjorie Shatsky, Winnipeg, Elaine Lyons, Edmonton; sons Fred (Linda), Prince Albert, SK, Ken (Marni), Toronto and his grandchildren Joel, Toronto, Adam (Heather), Saskatoon, Jordana, Shira and Shaun, Toronto; great-grandchildren Hannah and Abigail Wolch, Saskatoon. By all accounts he was a mensch a good soul, kind, gentle, considerate, compassionate and always ready to help those in need. He never sought out the limelight. Dad was born in Winnipeg, July 21, 1917 and lived part of his youth in Watson, SK. He served in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War as an air frame mechanic. Harold and Sadie were married in 1942 and enjoyed 46 years together raising a family and enjoying the grandchildren who were the centre of their existence. They lived for 40 plus years on Ash Street in Winnipeg. Dad then moved to Lions Place. As he required more care in his final years he relocated to the Sharon Home and ultimately to Leisureworld Care Home in the Toronto area. He was very fortunate to make many friends at each residence. He was also blessed to receive support and care from each facility so that he could live his last years with dignity and kindness which were the hallmark of his life. A graveside service will be held at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery, 230 Armstrong Ave., Sunday, March 20 at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Adam, Jordana, Shira and Shaun Wolch, Jerome Breslaw and Brian Book.
