Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIOLET (VIE) MARY FORMAN (nee TRIGGS) With great sadness, Vie Forman passed away March 15, 2011 after a brief stay at the Selkirk General Hospital. Vie was born in Cypress River, MB to Frank and Anne Triggs (Fox) on May 23, 1913. She was the eldest of seven children. She is survived by her sons Ken (Lynda) and Harvey (Lucie); grandchildren Corey and Jackie of Orleans, ON, Honey of Selkirk; Jason (Korina) (great-grandchildren Elly, Reece and Kasey) of Lac du Bonnet and Dwayne (Jennifer) (great-grandsons Nicolas and Brady) of Gillam; siblings Margaret Hutchinson of Winnipeg, Lillian Hird of Treherne and youngest brother Ernie of Vanderhoof, BC. She was predeceased by her husband John of over 33 years in 1977, by her parents, as well as two of her brothers George and Alf, and a sister Ivy. She grew up and worked in the Treherne area. While working at her Uncle Will's farm she met a handsome farmhand John Forman. They married October 15, 1943. They soon set up a farmstead in East Selkirk, where they raised their two sons Ken and Harvey. She moved to Lions' Manor in Selkirk in 1983 where she remained until her passing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the new Selkirk General Hospital Building Fund, 100 Easton Drive, Selkirk, MB R1A 2M2. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Pallbearers are her sons Harvey and Ken, grandsons Jason and Dwayne, nephew Bob Hutchinson and good friend John Dear. The family would like to convey our sincere Thank You to all the Homecare workers that cared for Mom over the past couple of years and Dr. Lindenschmidt. I ENJOYED OUR ANNUAL TRIPS WE TOOK TO SELKIRK TO VISIT AUNT VIE, I WOULD PICK UP MY MOM LILLIAN, AND MY SISTER BARB IN TREHERNE,THEN PICK UP MY AUNTY MARG AND OFF WE'D GO TO SELKIRK , I LOVED TO SEE THEM TOGETHER, AS THE TWO YOUNGER SISTERS WERE ALWAYS UP TO PRANKS, AND AUNT VIE SURE WOULDN'T WASTE ANY TIME IN LETTING THEM KNOW HOW SILLY THEY WERE BEING AND TO SMARTEN UP AND ACT THEIR AGE...
