BERYL AILEEN ROBINSON (nee INMAN) March 25, 1924 - March 7, 2011 Peacefully on Monday March 7, at Vista Park Lodge in Winnipeg, Beryl passed away at the age of 86, with her niece Brenda by her side. Beryl will be lovingly remembered by her brother Jim (Fran) Inman of BC, brother-in-law Geordie (Loretta) Robinson of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Dorothy Thompson of Edmonton, nieces Donna (Sandy) D'Aquino and Dale (Ken) Rowe of BC, nephew Ted (Helen) Inman of BC. Aunty Beryl will be deeply missed by niece Brenda (Reg) Bresch, who helped look after her for the past three years. There are also many more nieces and nephews in Winnipeg who will sadly miss and remember her. Beryl was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Robinson, her parents Edward and Nellie Inman and her sister Kay (Reg) Wright. Beryl lived her entire life in Winnipeg. She worked as a buyer for Eaton's in the early years, and then for Canada Safeway. She was a hard worker and enjoyed her years of employment. She loved to bowl and was often amongst the highest scorers. She loved to socialize with family and friends and liked nothing better than sharing conversation over a meal. Beryl loved the outdoors, summer barbecues and the crisp winter snow, enjoying nature at its best. Beryl was a classy lady who travelled extensively throughout the world with her husband Bill; she was a devoted and loving wife for 56 years. Beryl was very talented with crafts and many of her hand crafted pieces are treasured today by her family. A strong independent spirit has left this world, escorted by angels to enjoy the fruits of heaven and the familiar faces who are already there. We will miss you dearly. We gratefully acknowledge the caring staff at Vista Park Lodge, who made her stay there as comfortable as possible. Honouring Beryl's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A private family interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery on a later date.
