HELEN HARDER (nee FRIESEN) April 18, 1916 - March 20, 2011 Peacefully, with her son at her side, Helen Harder passed away on March 20, 2011 at Bethania Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by her parents Gerhard and Maria Friesen; husband Peter; sisters Ann Meadwell (London, ON); Mary Friesen (Peterborough, ON) and Freda Stewart (Winnipeg). Also brothers and sisters-in-law: Abe and Helen Harder, Jake and Helen Harder, George and Mary Harder, Herb (Marie) Harder and Bill (Freda) Stewart. She is survived by son Robert; sister-in-law Marie Harder (London, ON); brother and sister-in-law John and Lucy Harder (Niagara-On-The-Lake, ON); brother-in-law Don Meadwell (London, ON) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom worked for Eaton's Food Services (Valley Room) for 28 years, retiring in 1981. She loved meeting and chatting with her many customers and acquaintances. She enjoyed the outdoors and always maintained a large vegetable garden, as well as flowers around the yard, until she was no longer able to do so. Special thanks go to the staff at Bethania Personal Care Home (Centre Station) for the kind and compassionate care mom received throughout her stay and especially during her final days.
