JOHN FRYZA March 31, 1923 - March 17, 2011 Surrounded by love, with his family at his side, Dad made his final journey to join Mom in Heaven. Dad will be deeply missed by his children: Carol (Jack) Boyer, Roger (Tina) Fryza, Lynn Roche and Beverly (Tim) Martin. Also left to honour his memory are 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Angela (Craig), David, Eleri, Gabrielle and Robert, Richard, Meredith (Chris), Ashley, Eve, Cyndle-Lee, Janelle and Karsey, Raschelle and Justine; sisters Helen and Jenny, brother Mike, sisters-in-law Rhona, Lucy and Gloria; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Waiting in heaven to greet him are his wife Edna, parents and many family members. John came to Canada from Poland with his family as a young boy. He grew up in Monominto, Manitoba. After marrying Edna he farmed for a few years and went on to become a well known Watkins salesman in the Stonewall area. Together, Dad and Mom raised a family and established many long-lasting friendships. John was the founder of Max-Pro Feeds, which is still a thriving business today. He was an active community member, serving as a town councilor, United Church Board member, Kinsmen and K-40 member. We, as well as Dad, enjoyed the many years he coached us in our various sports. In retirement Dad and Mom enjoyed many years of travel. A special joy to Dad was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, friend, mentor; John was a role model whose example and influence we will always be grateful for. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main Street, Stonewall. Following luncheon at the Odd Fellows Hall, 374 1st Street West, Stonewall interment will take place at Monominto Cemetery. Pallbearers are Carol and Jack Boyer, Cyndle-Lee Roche, Tim Martin, Tom Fryza and Mack Waldner. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Southwest District Palliative Care or CancerCare Manitoba. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
