AMELIA (AMY) ROSE BURR Amelia passed away peacefully in her 72nd year on March 17, 2011. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, William and sons, Keith (Fran), Bruce, and James; grandchildren Laura, Jocelyn, and Ian; Lisa (Chris), Kevin, Brittany, and great-granddaughter Aaliyah; sister Frances (Wes) Cook of Regina and brother Stan (Barb) of Brandon and their families. Amy was born and raised in Brandon and began her working career at radio station CKX. After moving to Winnipeg, she worked for Burns Meats and for 20 years at CJOB. In 1978 she joined Canadian Pacific Airlines, retiring from Air Canada in 2002. Amy had many enjoyable winter travels with Bill and loved her summers at the family cottage at Victoria Beach. She was an accomplished artist and longtime member of the Local Colour Art Club. Her many paintings will be a lasting reminder of her talent and creative nature. Amy will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel United Church, at the corner of Kimberly Ave. and Golspie St. The family sincerely thanks Dr. K. Coates and Dr. A. Shojania and their staff for their good care and compassion. Flowers are gratefully declined.
