GEORGE WILLIAM KUPPERS 1931 - 2011 During the early morning hours of March 22, 2011 and surrounded by the love of his family George William Kuppers entered into his eternal rest. George was born in Winnipeg in 1931. He began his working career with the CNR at the Fort Rouge Shops when he was 15 years of age, eventurally transferring to the Transcona Shops. After a number of years as a carman, he was promoted to the position of Supervisor, a position he retained until retirement in 1987. George and Barbara enjoyed their many trips to Mexico and Las Vegas and especially birthday parties and happy hours on their deck with neighbours, family and friends. George loved to help people and always did so willingly whether asked to or not. His pleasant, pleasing nature drew everyone to him. George is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Barbara, daughters Patricia Kuppers of Edmonton, Jo-Ann Kuppers and Donna Kuppers both of Winnipeg, son John and wife Leonie of Edmonton, son Darcy of Winnipeg, brother Charles of Winnipeg, grandchildren Michael, Jennifer, Tammy and Carrie all of Winnipeg, and Scott of Edmonton and great-grandchildren Ethan, Kyle, Everett and Sara. He is also survived by Barbara's extended family Brian, Marie, Tyler, Shaelynn, Howard, Dorothy, Jessica, Ryan and many wonderful friends who were always there for the family. George was predeceased by his parents, Sid and Gladys, beloved first wife Margaret in 1988 and sister Joyce. We would like to thank Dr. Jason Old and Dr. Darcy Johnson (for making things happen for George) and Dr. Ted St. Goddard for his guidance. Also to the Jowett family (Ted, Judy, Kelli), we wouldn't have made it without your many kindnesses. Also to NIS for all their compassion and encouragement. Cremation. Family and friends are invited to join the family at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24 at Rossmere Country Club, 925 Watt St. Too well loved to ever be forgotten
