Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTERRANCE JAMES (JIM) CAMERON Jim passed away peacefully, on March 18, 2011, at Beausejour Hospital after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born October 15, 1940 in Birtle, Manitoba. He is survived by his daughter Dawn (Randy), son Darren (Christine) and grandchildren Michael and Justin of Calgary. He will be greatly missed by his brother Ron (Pat) of Beausejour, sister Jacquie Chatwell (Marty) and brother Barry (Myrna), brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Sharon Hogberg of Winnipeg, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents Donald and Laura (Peter), his wife Sharon, brother Robert, sister Joyce Balsillie, brother Doug, sister-in-law Gloria Cameron and brother-in-law Jack Balsillie. As a young man he worked for Sigurdson Transportation, hauling goods to the north by caterpillar and sleigh prior to the construction of the winter roads. Jim was a long haul trucker for many years, during which time he made many friends across Canada and the U.S. He also worked on construction as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #132 in Beausejour and a former member of the Masons. In his younger years, Jim enjoyed visiting the family farm in Rossburn, camping with his family, golfing, and hunting. He was a great cook and loved to barbeque. Jim liked to socialize and sing karaoke with his friends. Though he was a very private person, he had a great sense of humour and liked a joke. A special thank you to Gerry and Warren for all they did for Jim during his brief illness. Also, thank you to Dr. Kassis and the staff of Beausejour Hospital for their care and compassion. A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at 1:30 p.m.on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #132, 300 Veterans Lane, Beausejour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palliative Care in Beausejour in memory of Jim.
