JOSEPHINE A. (CURRAN) HAMLIN Peacefully at the Central Place Retirement Home in Owen Sound, Ontario, on March 22, 2011, Josephine Arthur Hamlin (nee Craig), at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by John H. Hamlin, QC (1996) and Robert E. Curran, QC (1978). Jo was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 26, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Richard W. and Rita Craig. Jo is survived by her two children, Heather Witherspoon (John) of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Craig Curran (Linda), of Chatsworth, Ontario, her five grandchildren, David (Tori) and Jennifer Witherspoon and Jonathan (Kari), Timothy and Nicholas Curran, three great-grandchildren Sophie and Knox Witherspoon and Hayden Curran), and four step-children, Lynn, John, Debbie and Laurie Hamlin. A graduate of the University of Manitoba, Jo lived in Ottawa for over 40 years and volunteered with the May Court Club as well as the Ottawa Philharmonic Orchestra for many years. Her later years were spent in Toronto before moving to Owen Sound in 2005. Arrangements will be private.
