TERRY KUZINA March 17, 1955 - March 19, 2011 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Terry Kuzina passed away at the age of 56. Terry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Debbie and two daughters Theresa and Vanessa, who made up Team Kuzina . Also left to grieve his loss are his parents Steve and Jean, brothers Don, Gordon (Joan) and Brian Kuzina, brothers-in-law Walter (Joyce), Stanley (Marcella) and Grant Copp (Connie), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends. Terry was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Stanley and Stella Copp, and sister-in-law Patricia Gagné (Tony). Terry was a patient, warm and kind man whose smile lit up a room. He was the kind of person who truly inspired others through his words and actions and greatly influenced the lives of many. He encouraged you to learn, explore, be creative, push yourself, enjoy life, seek balance, take risks, succeed and to not be afraid to fail, and he expected the same of himself. Terry graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Diploma in Advertising Art. He explored his passion as an artist and his talent in design, founded two companies, Kuzina Design and Fusion Communications, and was blessed with a career he loved. He was respected as a partner, designer, writer, esteemed creative director, friend and mentor to all. With his brilliant mind he beautifully and intelligently solved every creative challenge, and for this he is greatly missed. As a father and husband, Terry was the absolute best. He created a family that was fun, loving, strong and beautiful. We have fond memories of time spent at the cottage he designed and built at Sandy Bay. Here he enjoyed lake dinners, the hammock, shooting his bb gun, golfing, sailing, tennis, table hockey, Jeep rides, snowmobiling, watching Trailer Park Boys, welcoming many family and friends, and long talks on the green couch. He was our best friend, the one we turned to for help and advice, and he made us laugh each and every day. Of his many accomplishments, Terry was perhaps most proud of his golf game, a sport he picked up in his 40s and loved to play with his brothers, friends and colleagues. He was highly competitive with himself, always pushing and learning ways to be better. Never one to brag, he broke 80 and got 2 hole-in-ones a week apart! Terry was strong in faith and spirit, trusting in his beliefs to support him through life and in his passing. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to family, friends and colleagues for all the love and support Terry received during his final years. We wish to thank Father Gerry Ward, Spiritual Director at the St. Boniface Hospital for his guidance and friendship, as well as all the amazing staff and medical professionals for their compassion, knowledge, effort and care. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Ignatius Parish, 255 Stafford St. at Corydon with Father Gerry Ward officiating. A reception and celebration of life will follow from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Luxalune, 734 Osborne St. S. Should friends and family so desire, memorial donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, 409 Taché Ave., Room D1003, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Terry was admired by all and inspired us to live our lives fully with love and without regret. Love. Love. Love.
