JERENE AUDREY PAWLUK (KOLENICH) April 29, 1945 - March 22, 2011 Peacefully, after a short illness, Jerene passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital, with brother Allister, sister-in-law Delores and cousin Phyllis by her side. Jerene was predeceased by her husband Mike Pawluk and her parents Rev. Michael and Mrs. Anne Kolenich. She is survived by her brother Allister Kolenich (Delores) and family, cousin Phyllis Vince (Ken) and family, many other family and friends. She is also survived by her special friends Orest Stefaniw, Margaret Kuzminski and all her friends at Community Ventures, Special Olympics Bowling and her evening programs. Jerene was a very special person. She was loving, kind and considerate. She enjoyed shopping, going out for dinners, traveling, and bowling. She sang with the Church Choir, and helped in various ways in the Church. She loved her Church dearly. She also volunteered at Holy Family Nursing Home. We would like to thank all the staff on the 3rd floor, Unit 4 at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion to Jerene and her family. Prayers will be said on Sunday, March 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. with Rev. Fr. Mark Gnutel as celebrant with Rt. Rev. Mitrat Michael Buyachok and Rt. Rev. Canon Walter Klimchuk as co-celebrants. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Orest Stefaniw, Dwayne Kolenich, Ken Vince Jr., Dean Kolench and Lorne Kimpinski. Because Jerene loved flowers, they will be gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Jerene's memory to the church for prayers for her.
