Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARA FAITH SQUIRES 1919 - 2011 It is with deep sadness, the family of Clara Squires announce her passing on March 18, 2011 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2001, sisters Florence Gjolstad, Ruth Tummon, Signe (Alice) Muir, Grace Tyre and Bertha Jeffery. Clara is survived by her sister Alma Jeffery of Winnipeg, niece Florence, goddaughter Marilyn, nephews David and Keith and many great-nieces and nephews. In her early years Clara taught Sunday School at St. Barnabas and was a leader for Girl Guides. During the Second World War she was employed at Deer Lodge Hospital as a secretary for the DVA, and then for many years was employed for Ogilvy Flour Mills until she retired to care for her mother. Even though she had no children she was a faithful volunteer at the Clifton Community Club. Her nieces and nephews and their children have very fond memories of time spent with Auntie Clara. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held April 16, 2011 at Kiwanis Courts, 2300 Ness Ave. at 1:30 p.m. A special thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital 3 South and Kiwanis Courts. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
