DOCTOR GERRY JOSEPH WILSON It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the Wilson family announces the passing of our father, grandfather, and father-in-law. You have left our world and begun a new journey to another filled with peace and happiness. Your accomplishments and the hearts you touched are second to none. You had a gift and could connect with all whether it be in the world of hockey, addictions, medicine, or spirituality. You gave so much to people, and asked nothing in return. Most of all you will be remembered for being our father. Your strength, leadership, love, and passion for life will remain in our hearts forever and generations to come. Gerry will be greatly missed by his family, lifelong friends, and countless others whose lives he affected. Gerry is survived by his sons Gerry Jr. (Marina), Geoffrey (Maria), Carey (Joan), Greg (Laureen), their mother Helene, and 12 grandchildren. A service of Christian Burial Mass will be held at St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford St., on Wednesday, April 6 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
