EMILE TRUDEAU August 24, 1950 - March 27, 2011 Peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer Emile passed away on March 27 at the age of 60. He is survived by his loving daughter Danette (Chris); loving son Michael (Tina); two loving grandchildren Mathew and Kaity; his loving mother Noella; his loving siblings Lil (Vic), Roger (Laurette), Eva (Marcel), Monique (Michel), Fernand, Donald (Martha), Lina (Edmond), Georgette (Roger), Ben (Les); nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. You were all special to him. Thank you all for your presence, your support, your loving care and a special thank you to our mother, Laurette. His passion was the outdoors and his favourite things to do were fishing, hunting, camping and sledding. He also loved watching sports on television with football being his favourite sport. Thank you to all who shared a laugh with him. He will always be remembered for his playful nature. No matter how bleak the news, how awful he felt or how hard the battle, you would always ask how he was and he'd say I'm Okay . Special thank you to the staff at Cancer Care and Health Sciences Centre for giving us another year with him. Thank you to Thompson General Hospital, BCHRC and Clarke's Pharmacy for going above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you to Concordia Hospital for their kind and compassionate end of life care. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg. A memorial service in Thompson, Manitoba will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, ON 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9.
