Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADOLPH PASTRICK 1929 - 2011 It is with sadness and fond memories that we announce the passing of Adolph, our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, surrounded by his family on March 23, 2011 at Kildonan Personal Care Centre. Adolph was born in Marianowka, Poland on August 21, 1929. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Olga Pastrick. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Theresa (Yaeger), son Robert (Daisy) and granddaughters Brittany and Tiffany, daughter Kathleen Heesaker (Michael) and granddaughters Amber and Jasmine. Adolph is also survived by his sister Violet D'Haese (John) of Edmonton, Alberta, brother Arnold (Karen) of Salem, Oregon, brother-in-law Fred Yaeger (Gladys), along with many nephews, nieces and friends. Adolph survived the vigors of the Second World War after five years in a Russian prison camp. He immigrated to Winnipeg in 1950. Upon his arrival he vowed to return to Germany, but his mind was quickly swayed when he met the love of his life Theresa, at a New Year's Eve dance in 1951. Adolph dabbled in various occupations before he went into partnership with his friend Bruno Hintz and together they established Fargo Realty for 15 years. Upon an early retirement and with his excellent entrepreneurial skills he went on to found both Pastrick Realty and A R Carpet Barn. Adolph was a long standing member at St. Peter's and was active on the church council for many years. His real estate connections provided him with the ability to be instrumental in acquiring the properties to build the current church. As family was always Adolph's first priority he enjoyed spending time with them, especially at Betula Lake, whether it was sitting on the dock, fishing, swimming or spotting his granddaughters water skiing. Memories of walking along sandy beaches in Jamaica and Florida with them will be cherished forever. Before the progression of Parkinson's disease, Adolph and Theresa enjoyed countless vacations to various sunny destinations and Europe. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Adolph's life will be held at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut Street on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at the church. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire a donation may be made in Adolph's name to the Parkinson Foundation of Winnipeg, Manitoba, 7 - 414 Westmount Drive, Winnipeg, R2J 1P2 or to a charity of your choice. The Parkinson's motto is to ease the burden and find a cure. Adolph's family wishes to thank all of the staff, residents and their families at Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their kind, and compassionate care. The warmth of their generosity provided Adolph with a second loving family and made his final years more bearable. Death Is So Limited It cannot cripple love, It cannot shatter hope, It cannot corrode faith, It cannot eat away peace, It cannot destroy confidence, It cannot kill friendship, It cannot shut out memories, It cannot silence courage, It cannot invade the soul, It cannot reduce eternal life, It cannot quench the Spirit, It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection.
