VICTORIA (VICKY) TURCOTTE

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORIA (VICKY) TURCOTTE Quietly, before midnight on March 26, 2011 at Parkview Place, our beloved Mom and Meme found peace in the arms of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Born on April 30, 1927 in Mountain Park, Alberta, Victoria was the fourth child born to Harry and Mary Kardynal, who immigrated from the Western Ukraine in 1910. She was raised and attended school in Sturgis, Saskatchewan along with her nine other siblings. On July 15, 1950 Victora was married to Raymond Turcotte. Mom loved painting with canvas and oil paints. If canvas wasn't available, we would come home to beautiful landscape scenes on the walls in our home! She was truly a very talented artist. Mom leaves to cherish her memory her children, Bonnie (Jerry), Donna (Ken), Robert (Dawne), Phil (Babe); her grandchildren, Chrissy, Tara, Shannon, Colette, Michelle, Lisa, Jason, Scott, Jeff, Colin and Stephanie; and her great-grandchildren Samantha, Sabrina, Jordon, Hope, Hunter, Alyssa, Luke, Jacob, Rylan and Sadie; and her siblings, Anne, Myron, Rose, Pauline, Harry, Mable and Jane. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, April 5 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Turcotte, Scott Turcotte, Jeff Turcotte, Colin Turcotte, Jordon Overton, Randy Overton We would like to thank the loving and caring staff at Parkview Place for taking such good care of our Mom. Special thanks to Transcona Funeral Chapel for all their love and care in helping our family through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish, donations may be made in Vicky's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. To my Grandchildren, the song I always sang to you when you were little : Hi Ho I loved the sea I'm a sailor and I'm free from shore to shore and sea to sea I'm as happy as can be !
