RICHARD JOSEPH PAUL NORMAND February 3, 1954 - March 29, 2011 On Tuesday, March 29, 2011, Rick passed away peacefully at the age of 57. Rick is survived by his daughter, Dale (Chris); and son Cory (Holly); mother of his children, Pam; and grandchildren, Jordan, Meghan, Landon and Sydney. He is also survived by his sisters, Leona and Rosalee (Calder); brother Ken (Bonnie) and several nieces and nephews. Rick was predeceased by his parents, Kay and Vic Normand; and brother-in-law Harvey Berard. Rick was employed as a plumber and estimator with Derksen Plumbing and Heating. His biggest passion was fishing and enjoyed sports cars and car races very much. In his younger years he curled and later enjoyed watching curling and playing crib. Rick had a special interest in watching his grandkids play hockey and ringette, which always brought a smile to his face. Rick will be dearly missed by his family. The family would like to say a special thank you to Corrie Hodges, for all her kindness and compassion in the care of Dad throughout his time at Concordia Place. Cremation has taken place and a service in celebration of Rick's life will be held on Monday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Duck's Unlimited Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
