GORDON (GORD) REID January 3, 1936 - March 31, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gord Reid at the St. Boniface Hospital in the early morning hours of March 31, 2011. Gord was predeceased by his loving wife Marilynn, parents John and Ev Reid, and his in-laws Jack and Julia Agar. Gord and Marilynn dated throughout high school and enjoyed a long and happy marriage. They traveled a great deal and spent many happy times at their cottage on Clearwater Bay. Gord was deeply affected by Marilynn's passing in 2006. It gives us comfort to know they are together again. Gord always looked forward to his annual fishing trip with his long time Shell Oil buddies. They have promised to raise a tankard in Gord's honour on their future trips. Gord will be missed by his extended family and his many good friends. We would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and kindness through Gord's brief illness. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Program, St. Boniface Hospital.
