Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOSCAR HUPPE November 3, 1924 - April 2, 2011 Peacefully and with his family by his side, Oscar (Popo) passed away at St. Joseph's Nursing Home on April 2, 2011 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Oscar married Polly (Husiak) in Winnipeg and began a long life together. His and Polly's great joys included the love and nurturing of their children and great-grandchildren. During Popo's life he served in the Second World War in France and Germany for four years. Subsequently he worked for CPR and was owner operator with Duffy's Taxi, retiring in 1983. Leaving to cherish his many loving ways are his wife Polly; children, Bobby (Margaret), Betty (Brian Hughes); grandchildren, Greg (Wendy), Kathy (Mike), Lisa (Kevin King) and Bonnie. Great-grandchildren, Trent and Melissa, Brandon, Connory and Markus. Popo is also survived by his extended family, brother-in-law Lawrence (Joane), sister-in-law Ann Podaima (Felix deceased) and their families. Thanks to the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph's Nursing Home. Words cannot express our gratitude. They worked extremely hard to ensure his comfort during a difficult time. As per family's wishes, a private funeral service will be held at a later date. Dearest Oscar, no words can ever express how much you shall be missed. Thank you for all that you have brought to our lives...the joy, the adventures, the laughter and the memories. We love you dearly and you will be in our hearts forever.
