JOYCE NANCY WHITE (nee REA) July 7, 1928 April 2, 2011 When the day shall come that we do part, if my last words are not I love you , you'll know that I did not have time . . . . With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our sister, aunt, and friend Joyce White on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Concordia Hospital. Although we are deeply saddened we can take solace in that she didn't suffer for long before she had to leave us. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Andrew, and parents, Daniel and Kathleen Rea. Left to mourn Joyce's memory are her sisters Kathleen and Rosemary (Raymond), nieces Janice (Ian) and Allison (Trevor), sister-in-law Betty White, nephews Ken (Nancy) and David, as well as great nieces Kathryn, Megan, Robyn, and great nephews Stephen and Mitchell, and a few cousins in Ireland. Joyce grew up and lived in East Kildonan her entire life. She attended Prince Edward School and East Kildonan Collegiate. She had a long working career with the Royal Bank of Canada starting at the age of 16. She married Andrew on September 8, 1950, and together they shared many adventures. Some of the best were their many trips overseas to visit family and friends in England and Ireland. She was an avid bowler, loved to play bridge, and completed numerous knitting and needlework projects. The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to the doctors and all of the ICU staff who took such excellent care of Joyce and in helping the family to cope. A special thank you to Kaye and her sons, Bill, Tom, and Joe, all of you were a very important part of Joyce's life for a very long time. And also to Joan who always looked out for her and we know will miss her dearly. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. A reception will follow. Private family interment will be at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Research Foundation, 409 Tache Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 2A6.
