MARGARET ANNE ROBERTS (SMITH)

MARGARET ANNE ROBERTS (nee SMITH) Passed away suddenly on April 1, 2011 of a heart attack at age 66. Marg was predeceased by her parents Ernie and Elsie. She is survived by her brothers Robert (wife Karen) of Sherwood Park, Alberta, and Chris (wife Bonnie) of Winnipeg, and nieces and nephews Chris Smith of Sherwood Park, Bobbi-Lynn Renoir (husband Alex and son Felix) of San Diego, California, Brent Smith (wife Shawna Forester Smith) and Caitlin Smith of Winnipeg. Marg was a loving, kind woman who spent her working life in nursing, most recently as Clinical Practice Co-ordinator in the orthopedics section of Health Sciences Centre before retiring two years ago. She enjoyed her family immensely and loved to share the successes of her nieces and nephews and of the children of her many friends who made up her extended family. She loved to travel and took trips to Europe, Mexico, the United States and the Caribbean, as well as within Canada to visit family and friends. Marge enjoyed golfing and swimming and was a fan of the Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team. Marg was well-liked by a large group of lifelong friends and by co-workers, especially Bonnie Pelczar and Carol Grierson. Cremation is planned and the time and place of a memorial service will be announced later. If so wished, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in memory of Marg. Chapel Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
