RONALD HAY November 13, 1924 - April 2, 2011 Peacefully, Ronnie passed away to be reunited with his beloved Verna. Born in Vista, Manitoba he worked at Sinclair's store until enlisting in the army from 1943-1946. He saw active duty in Europe and upon his return and recovery he and Verna were married in June of 1947. They moved to Winnipeg to raise their family where Winnipeg Transit employed him until his retirement in 1987. The Royal Canadian Legion was a very important part of his life where he and Verna made many lasting friendships and where he served as first and second vice-president as well as Sergeant-at-Arms. Predeceased by his brother Charlie, sisters Margaret and Connie. Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by his son Kevin (May Jean), daughter Judy, grandchildren: Andrea, Steven, Nancy and Sheryl and his beloved seven great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews, great friends and longtime neighbours. A funeral service will be held at John Black United Church on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. An interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
