ROSEMARIE ROY It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our much loved Rosemarie, at the Rosedale Hospice in Calgary on Friday, April 1, 2011. Rose touched the lives of all of those that had the pleasure to either meet her or hear of her legend. Rose was all about sharing and thinking of others. Her generosity and warm hospitality were beyond compare. All of her special sayings and Rose-isms are world renown. Always one to speak her mind, you always knew where you stood with Rose. She freely shared her wisdom and knowledge. She got a huge kick out of children, little dogs, and animated collectibles. She was everyone's favourite Auntie. All of us have a special Auntie Rose story that will be kept dear to our hearts. Rose was blessed with many lifelong, wonderful friends with whom she shared many a laugh and adventure. Rose will be remembered as the glue that pulled the family together for many special occasions. Rose cherished all of the times that she was able to spend with her immediate and extended family. Predeceased by her parents, Yvonne and Dewey Roy; sister Orise Derksen; brother Germaine; sisters-in-law, Adeline, Marion, Margaret, Dolly; brother-in-law Jerry Marshall. Survived by brothers, Ed, Winnipeg; Leon (Joan), Edmonton, AB; Marcel, New Westminster, BC; Leonard, Pine Falls, MB; Bernice Marshall; Julian (Pauline), Beauport, QC; brother-in-law John Derksen, Winnipeg; sister-in-law Kay, Cowansville, QC. Sincere thanks to everyone that supported Rose during her brief illness. She very much appreciated all of the visits and kind gestures. There's no doubt that she will always be remembered by those whose lives she touched. She was one of a kind. Donations in Rose's memory may be made to the Rosedale Hospice c/o Hospice Calgary Society, 1245 - 70 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 2X8. As per Rose's wishes, there will be no service. However, please feel free to take a moment to honour her memory in your own special way. Thank you for loving us so much. We love you right back.
